Presentation Highlights:

• Altech Batteries (ASX: ATC) is pleased to provide an update of its sodium nickel chloride solid state UPS technology, noting that the system operates safely from -40°C to +60°C and offers a fireproof alternative to lithium ion, nickel cadmium, and lead acid batteries which continue to face thermal runaway, gas emissions, short 3 to 5 year replacement cycles, and rising insurance costs across industrial and ATEX environments.
• The company reports that SNC cells have completed extensive safety testing that includes a 30 minute gasoline fire at approximately 850°C, a 10 m drop test, a 48 km per hour impact test, saltwater immersion, a 145 percent overvoltage event, and ballistic impact, with all trials resulting in no explosion or flame which supports the technologys application in critical UPS and hazardous location settings.
• Altech highlights the broader commercial pathway for SNC technology that includes 100 Wh per kg module level energy density, more than 6000 cycles at 0.5 C, and a 20 year design life, alongside the CERENERGY® program which is scaling cell formats by 2.6 times and advancing toward 1 MWh grid level systems and the 120 MWh project in Saxony which remains aligned with the company’s forward development plan.
